Just in case you didn’t hear yet, Performancing Partners is Out of Business. I first read about it on Duncan Riley’s blog this morning.
The first thing I did was to go to my account at Performancing to see what it was all about. Here is what Chris Garrett had to say on the Performancing Blog:
I’m sad to tell you that Partners has to close. While I have every faith it could have worked, it wasn’t going to happen fast enough. Without more money invested it wasn’t going to happen at all.
Any ads currently in the system will continue to run until the end of the month at which time the ad code will stop working. Please take your ad code down from your templates then. Remaining ad time will of course be refunded.
This news is surely not going to be popular. All I can say is thank you to all the publishers and advertisers who tried the service and to all the people in the forums who provided feedback and ideas. I am gutted I couldn’t have some time to act on your suggestions.
That couldn’t have been easy for him to write, and I am sure he is disappointed.
Â
After reading that, I immediately took the ad code out of my sidebar template with mixed feelings. I don’t know how well it worked for you, but I did get a few inquiries from advertisers through the service. However, I never really got any more than a look. I didn’t make any money from it.
Needless to say, I wish things could have worked out better, and we all made a lot of money. But I guess that just wasn’t in the cards.

I am establishing a Featured Home Business Page on which I will Showcase Your Business, give you Free Promotion for a Day in a Post, Provide a Link to your Blog or Website for the Day and will include Your Promotional Article in a Page of Featured Home Business that could extend your exposure for a decent period of time.
You can be a Full Time Home Business Owner, Part-Time Work at Homer, or a Tele-Commuter. Anyone who Works from Home, on the Internet or in the Field and has access to a Computer can participate. If you don’t have a WebPage or Blog and wish to be featured, simply send me an E-mail using my Contact Form with anything you would like to present, and I will try to accommodate you. In this way you may be able to attract potential customers, clients, employees and other links to enhance your company’s presence on the Internet and increase it’s potential for additional income.
At present, I plan on having a full week of Featured Home Business the First Week of January to kick off the New Year. This will be followed by a weekly post of individual companies that are in search of new possibilities to grow their Internet exposure. You can submit, for your Work at Home Company, whatever pertinent business information and links to pages you would like to be reviewed for inclusion. If they are accepted, they will be posted as a Featured Home Business and included on the Featured Home Business Page.
Rules for Inclusion:
1. Write and submit an article to me using the Contact Form.
2. The article/business information must be original, not just a link to your site or promotion.
3. You may include any links to your site (excluding affiliate links) and various pages. ie. about, contact, articles, posts.
4. No Spam, Splogs or Spages. Anything that can be considered Spam will not be considered and ignored.
All submissions will be reviewed by me for content and relativity to Working at Home and Home Business. Any Company from a Well Established Business looking to expand to a Start-up wanting Free Exposure will be considered. All Honest business people are Welcome.
But, SPAM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
Use the Contact Form to Submit Your Home Business for Inclusion.
And in case you are wondering, there are no strings attached. No unauthorized advertisements, linking, e-mail, spamming or anything underhanded at all. These are NOT Paid Endorsements. This is purely my attempt to help any Home Business Entrepreneur (including me) in any way I can through cooperative exposure.

Yesterday I read the Interview with Jim Kukral about BlogKits by Darren Rowse on ProBlogger. It seems to be a pretty decent possibility for setting up some affiliate programs on smaller Blogs. (And you can’t get much smaller than this.) I would suggest reading it if you are considering trying BlogKits Performance Marketing as a potential source of income.
After reading the interview, I still had some questions that I thought were pertinent to making a decision. So, I went to BlogKits Blog and asked Jim. He did respond pretty quickly with good honest answers. I hope he doesn’t mind but I would like to borrow his response so you can see the questions and answers.
Here it is
Hey Jim, This sounds like a really good program. I saw your interview with Darren, so thought I would stop by. I have a couple of questions.
1. How do you pay? Check in USD, Paypal?
Answer: Check in USD. However, we are about to release a new and exciting method of payment that is way better, and easier for the blogger. Stay tuned. It’ll be fun too!
2. Is the program set up to put Ads on feeds?
Answer: Not at the moment. I think Feedburner is the only company that can do that? Calling Brent Hill?
3. Can we choose which Advertisers we would like to include?
Answer: Yes, in the advanced settings you can select an advertiser by themselves if you wish. Go for it! It’s easy.
4. Do you have an affiliate program of your own for BK, for Bloggers to sell your service?
Answer: Right now we don’t have one, and don’t have plans for one, but you never know!
Thanks Joe!
I do appreciate Jim’s timely response, that doesn’t happen often enough (sometimes not at all) with some Marketing Programs.
At this point, I am leaning towards joining. It may even happen this afternoon. Since not all of the Advertisers I am affiliated with at present are performing very well, I need to make a decision soon.
Have you tried BlogKits? What do you think of them?
