Attention To Detail as a Mom (or a WAHM)

If you work at home or not you can have issues with forgetfulness – or just getting things wrong.  The details can really be overlooked when you have so many balls in the air.

There are so many things that you have to remember:
Sew the hole in that sock
Pay the boy scouts for the popcorn
Hang Christmas lights
Email my potential clients
Start that design
Mail that paperwork
Print pictures
etc. etc. etc. (80 more things at least.)

The list is long and it is hard to either remember everything or get everything right.  We do our best – but sometimes…

For two months I wrote down my niece’s birthday.  It was Sunday.  I have always known it was Sunday.   I received the invitation and I did not really read it.  I knew the time and the date.  I talked to my sister-in-law.  I was gonna be there early and help out – Sunday.  My friends wanted to get together Sunday and I could not because of the birthday party.  So we opted for Saturday.

My sister in law called me Saturday.
Where was I?
OMG!  The birthday party is TODAY!!

And a few weeks ago we were 1 week EARLY to another birthday party.

I need to start paying better attention to detail.
