I don’t know how the weather has been where you are – but here it has been hot! Hot and muggy. For a few days it has been over cast and rainy. But the last few days it has been so sunny. Not a cloud in the sky. And did I mention that it was hot?
On this one day – this beautiful, sunny day we went to the pool in the morning. It was great! After lunch we came home and the kids took naps. This let me get cleaned up and start working. The last two weeks were weird so I had a lot to catch up on.
Emails.
Phone Calls.
Bills.
Paperwork.
Emails….
Then the kids woke up. They really wanted to play outside.
They wanted the pool.
They wanted the slip n slide.
They wanted the basketball.
They wanted bubbles.
But I had a lot of work to do. So what is a mom – a working mom to do?
AHA!
Set up the pool.
Set up the slip n slide.
Get the basketball.
Get the bubbles.
And then…
…sit on the deck and watch the fun unfold!
It was great! 3 hours I got to sit on the deck, in the shade, and just work. All the while the kids played with all of their things and had the best time. Yeah they wanted some attention and they wanted me to watch them – but I could! All from my spot in the shade with my computer.
Things work great. They might not be conventional but they can be better! Just think outside of the box and see what can happen!

That’s great! As a work-at-home mom, you were still able to balance and manage your time for work and for your kids. You’re such a smart WAHM.
Thank you Patrice! I appreciate your kind words!
