*Editors Note: Major problems with the site today, so this is a reproduction of the original post of this morning.
I’ve installed WordPress 2.8 & other than a couple of small adjusments, not too many problems.
Except for one!
Granted, I don’t get too many comments, but I loved the feature that allowed me to Reply to Comments from within the Administration Page. It worked perfectly when I had WP 2.7.1 but now? NOT!
For some reason it just takes me down to the bottom of the page instead of giving me a Respond Box as it did in the previous version. Now, if I need to respond to Readeers Comments, I need to go to the post itself and reply. For each and every comment, no matter which post it happens to be on.
What a Pain!
They give you something that is useful (that I had a plugin for in WP2.5 and now is extinct) and take it away. I went to the WP Forum, FAQ page and even went through the code and can’t find where they made the change or why.
Has anyone else run into this problem? I tried deactivating various plugins related to commenting and still it doesn’t work.
Oh, and as an afterthought, I preposted the Blog Carnival as usual on Thrusday night and for some strange reason it posted 2 hours late and gave me a message that it posted late and I had to go in and resave the post for it to show live on the site???
And now a short vid for your entertainment…
Let me know if you have figured out what the problem is or if I find it first, I’ll let you know.
