I totally agree Brian! A group that I am in (<a href="http://www.bizconnectep.com/wp/">http://www.bizconnectep.com/wp/</a>) was just talking about marketing/advertising and how it needs to be done. Especially in these economic times. It is so hard to think about putting a lot of money into marketing - but some things need to be done. AND people should be aware of marketing that is free or requires very little. (like Twitter!)

Thanks for reading and sharing!

Brooke - Great Post! You've helped me with several web project (including http://www.BearsDenGatlinburg.net) over the years so I know how involved you are with networking and keeping your "Brand" in front of your clients.

For many of my Real Estate Appraiser friends, marketing and networking is always on the back-burner. As a result, when their market shifts or has a downturn, they burn up the forums looking for advice on getting new clients. Uhhhh . . . it's a little late when no one is looking for your services!!!

As YOU know . . .the key is to market yourself constantly and consistently. NEVER miss a chance to get your name and company URL in front of the client.

I've blogged for several years ( http://www.AppraisalScoop.com ) but have just recently started using social media like Facebook and Twitter. I feel that if your clients are not actively promoting their businesss with a Facebook "Page" or making mico-blog connections on Twitter . . . they're really missing a chance to build connections.

Hey Deb,
Thanks for stopping by. I haven't reached the stage you & Brooke have yet. I get return requests for help, but stil have to keep my nose to the grindstone for new business all the time.
I can't wait for the Speakers in the Park series myself. Still working on the presentation. ;-)

Isn't it awesome how things just happen and business just keeps rolling in when you put enough systems into place. Sooner or later business will self-perpetuate itself. I love working at home, networking on the internet and just offering good customer service so that it does happen. A good example is our upcoming speaker series. Collaberation always creates relationships that will grow later. People working together in a way that leverages everyones results. Thanks for joining the Speakers In The Park series Joe. You bring a new dimension to the program that is not provided by the other speakers. http://www.SpeakersInThePark.com
