I can’t believe that these stupid Browser Wars continue. It’s not so much which is better Internet Explorer or FireFox. That debate has gone on forever and will probably go on til the end of the Internet.

My problem is that Webpage Designers, Blog Designers, Plugin Hacks STILL haven’t learned that the consumer will use whatever comes with their computer and not know the difference. If they use Windows, they get Internet Explorer in whatever version is current. If they buy a MAC they will end up with some variation of FireFox. They just want to be able to access the internet, get whatever information they need, play a game, or just surf around then leave.

To most consumers, the browser they use makes no difference as long as it works and looks good on the pages they visit.

My complaint isn’t about the different types of browsers available, newer versions and adaptations will come out. It’s that most of the people who design pages, addons, et cetera only write for the browser THEY like. No consideration for the end user. Too Bad if they don’t like it, let them change browsers to the one that designer uses.

This is not the first time I wrote about some of the problems you can run into on different browsers. I even had a post on the Importance of Cross Checking Browsers last year to address some of the issues that my customers (and I) have had between Internet Explorer and FireFox.

I’m not really sure how to end this little rant any more than I know how to stop the Browser Wars, but I do know one thing…

It doesn’t matter to the customer which browser they use, it matters what they SEE on Your Site.
