Where Did It Go?

Have I lost it?
Where did the drive go? The desire to help others trying to Work at Home. The bright ideas on how to accomplish success. Wanting to be the go to guy. Making a name for myself.
Sure, I helped some people get some things done, helped others with their problems, and answered some pretty difficult questions. But what has it really accomplished?
The end of the year is nearing quickly and it’s time for me to make some difficult decisions. If I can’t continue to come up with interesting things and be useful to the Home Business Community, why try to disillusion myself and pretend to be “The Guy” when I can’t even make my own Consulting Business succeed?
For the time being, I will still present the Working at Home Blog Carnival and the Weekly Helpful Reads series and post a couple of articles a week (it seems that’s all I’m really doing anyway).
I need to take a break. Rethink my direction. Do some soul searching. Work on the Consulting Business. And most importantly, get my desire to write again so I can help other Work at Homers.
I Ain’t Leavin’ and the Ship Ain’t Sinkin’ but I need some Time Off.
After the First of the Year, look for the return of the Refreshed Joe HauckesĀ and Improved Working at Home on the Internet. In the mean time, keep checking in for Updates.

Hi Joe,
Take a break. It’s the best thing we can do sometimes. We’ll still be here.

Hey Rick,
I think you’re right, I should just take a break, but when I do, it feels like I’m slacking.
I appreciate you and the rest of the community supporting me. I means a lot.

I didn’t know that you were feeling that way. Business is a really hard thing and taking time off to recharge yourself DOES NOT make you a slacker. It makes really smart.
Take all the time you need!

Hey Brooke,
I think it is just a little year end burnout, it has been a rough one.
I plan on being with the family for the holidays. That should cheer me up a bit and get me back on track.
Thanks.
