First, I would like to thank everyone who is participating in the Promise to the Blogging Community thingy. I have been trying to keep up with all the links that are coming through from all of the trackbacks, and seem to be doing pretty well. The new traffic seems to be slacking off a bit, but that is to be expected.
What was very unexpected was on yesterdays post with the Buttons, this is what I woke up to this morning:

Pretty cool, huh? So, as per my promise, I decided to check it out by clicking the link and thank whoever was Digging the post.
That’s when I found this:

Who the hell is bizleading.com??? I never heard of them and it seems that all of the commenters on Digg never did either. Almost every comment is “this is not what I Dugg”, “this is Hijacked from…”, “Digg should do something about this” or similar outrage. It seems that this type thing has been going on for a while.
Personally, I never thought that something of mine would make Digg. And when it does, it gets Hijacked.
For now, I’ll still keep the link to Digg it! at the bottom of posts for those of you who like them, but I won’t use it myself on this or any other site until they can fix this problem.
Have you run into this before? Do you think Digg is condoning hijacking? Do you think they even know about it?
Update: It seems Digg has fixed the problem (at least on my post). I wonder if I actually ever even had any Diggs?
