My Promise to the Blogging Community

About a week or so ago, I made a comment on one of my favorite Blogs, Successful Blog. It was on topic and well accepted as part of the conversation going on. However, I felt bad about one of the responses.
Let me explain.
Liz and I have been a part of the Blogging community for quite a while now and have always made sure to join in each others conversations if we could add something of interest. But in this instance, Liz said something that hit like a ton of bricks. What could or would Liz say that would impact me in that way?
“Welcome Back, we missed you”
Not really something that people would consider a bad thing, it is actually a very considerate thing to say. But I didn’t realize I had gone away. I subscribe to Liz’s RSS Feed and have for a long time. I even try to make Open Mic Night every Tuesday (although I have missed a couple). But, she was right. I WAS missing. I had essentially ceased to be a real part of the community. I was distracted from talking to my friends. I even wrote a post a while ago, Is RSS Hurting the Blogging Community, but failed to heed my own words.
