A lot of people think that PayPal is just for E-Bay or Amazon to make payments for things you purchase through their services.
But, if you feature Advertisers on your Blog or Website you should consider using PP as a way of getting your commissions and payments. Some Advertisers only pay through a PayPal account, but most will offer it as an option instead of using checks for remittances.
If you have your own products and/or services that are featured online PP is a quick and easy way to get payments from your customers. The only thing they need is either an account of their own or a Credit/Debit Card. Remittances are made directly to your E-mail address and are credited directly to your PayPal Account.
There is a $500 limit to transactions per month on a personal account which if fine for a Small Business just starting out. Upgrades are available once things begin to improve and the profit level increases. The fees are very reasonable for the premier business accounts and services increase accordingly.
You decide when to make withdraws and transfer of funds to your personal or business bank accounts. Personally, I prefer using either a Checking or Savings account through my bank (even though there is an option of using a Credit Card) for a few reasons.
- Deposits can be made directly to your bank with No Fees
- Interest will accrue on funds with most banks
- Availability of funds for Offline use ie. paying bills, employees, office expenses
However, if a Credit Card is used as security will cost interest on any funds you transfer Into PayPal. PP doesn’t charge you but your CC will. This is a personal choice and it depends entirely on your situation and how you conduct your business.
PayPal is a very secure and trusted service for Online Business of any type. Payments to you are fast and are credited as soon as the payment is verified. PP is easy to work with if you have any questions or problems and they follow up right away with an E-mail for confirmation that your problems have been resolved.
I feel that a PayPal account is a Must Have for any Online Home Business and I highly recommend using it for Internet Transactions for Business or Personal use.
This is NOT a Paid Endorsement, however there are Afilliate Links in the article.

If you use Wordpress as a Blogging Platform for your Work at Home Business, you undoubtedly use some Plug-ins to help ease the daily grind and enhance the experience of your readers, visitors and friends. I thought I would share the ones I have found to be the most useful to me.
Here is a list of Plug-ins I use here at Working at Home on the Internet:
-
| Akismet |
2.0 |
Akismet checks your comments against the Akismet web service to see if they look like spam or not. You need a WordPress.com API key to use it. You can review the spam it catches under “Comments.†To show off your Akismet stats just put <?php akismet_counter(); ?> in your template. By Matt Mullenweg. |
-
| bdp-comments |

|
-
| BDP Referral Tracker |

-
| RS Discuss |
0.5.2 |

-
| SimpleTags |
2.0 |
Allows you to create a list of Technorati tags at the bottom of your post by providing a comma separated list of tags between the [tags] tags. You can use it with any blogging tool/method, not just when posting from WordPress itself (doesn’t use custom fields). Supports multiple words within tags. Also allows in-post tagging of words by enclosing them in [tag] tags. Works with the WYSIWYG editor. By Broobles. |

-
| WP-ContactForm |
1.4.3 |
WP Contact Form is a drop in form for users to contact you. It can be implemented on a page or a post. It currently works with WordPress 2.0+ By Ryan Duff. |
-
| WP-Polls |
2.14 |
Adds an AJAX poll system to your WordPress blog. You can also easily add a poll into your WordPress’s blog post/page. By GaMerZ. |
If there are any Plug-ins you have found that are useful to the Blogger who uses WordPress for Home Business, please share them with us.
PS. I’m looking for a “Broken Link Checker” Plug-in. With Well Over 800 posts and the way I spread the Link Love, I need help finding broken links.
Update: I have since uninstalled BDP Referral Tracker because it Consumes Resources like a Bear in a Salmon Stream.
