As I was writing Yesterday’s post Thanking Everyone for their help, I started thinking about how I need to organize my day a little better. That way I may even be able to find time to do pre-posting and paperwork etc. I thought since I had interviewed a few Very Successful Work at Homers I would read what they had to say on the subject of how they handle their schedules and daily businesses.
I found their insights very helpful for myself, and think you may just want to (re)visit the conversations I had with them as well. There are some interesting answers to some fairly standard questions you may have for how they handle their Work at Home Businesses.
- Liz Strauss- 6/2/06… If you know Liz even remotely, you know there is nothing typical about her (or her answers). This one was just pure fun to do. (Successful Blog)
- Darren Rowse- 6/7/06… This interview gives some insight into the typical workday of a Six Figure Professional Blogger. Pre-X’s birth, things may have changed a little. (ProBlogger)
- Steve Remington- 11/2/06… For a look at what a normal(?) day is in the life of a SAHD (stay at home dad), you need to give this one a look. (Inside Fatherhood)
- Joe Hauckes- 10/4/06… That’s right, I interviewed myself. It was on a lark, but you may find out some things you didn’t know about me.
Although they may be a little dated and some of the situations may have changed a bit, I think you will still find some very good information about what it’s like to Work at Home (if you don’t already know).

I know what you mean about getting better organized. Boy, oh, boy, do I ever need help in that area. (Some days I need Seinfeld’s soup nazi to yell at me: no more blog reading for you! do your work!).
It really helps to know what other people do on their roads to success; the insights are invaluable.
Hey Carolyn,
I think I’m getting the organized down, Now it’s time for IMPLEMENTATION!
gotta work on that.
With the recent move and the one I’m anticipating, implementation will be a bit funky. But, ya know what, Joe? In a strange way, all of this upheaval is getting me more organized.
