WordPress 2.1 has an auto-save feature. BUT, it only works if you have a TITLE on the Post.
I had written a post that was fairly lengthy (for me) and I had no title yet. I went to save it and Voila! it disappeared. The problem was with my server, but nothing was saved.
Now the whole thing has to be re-written if I can remember what it was about. Unfortunately, when you try to write a post from memory, it rarely is anywhere as good as the original.
So, Remember… If you want the Auto-save to work, you need to have the Title in place or it won’t work.

Hey Brooke,
This is one of the little things that WP doesn’t tell you, you have to find out yourself. Unless, someone gives you a heads-up because they had a problem.
