I think I finally tracked down a meme!
I am 99.9% sure this one started with James Cleverly on January 31, 2007 with this post, Why Do You Blog? He tagged 5 friends, who tagged 5 friends each, who tagged 5 friends each… so far I count 1,953,125 if everyone who was tagged tagged 5 friends. That’s an awful lot of links from one guy in England (a Conservative Party Politician, no less) who just decided to start a meme on a lark.
Ok, let me start from the beginning, I was tagged for the Why Do I Blog meme by Steve Johnson and thought it would be fun to participate. So, here goes…
1. It’s fun, I met a lot of really good people through Blogging and hope to meet many more.
2. I have learned a lot about Writing, Working at Home, Entrenpreneurship, and so much more from the interaction of readers and commenters on this and other Blogs.
3. I make some (not enough to live on) money.
4. I get to help others who are really just starting out trying to Work at Home. Hopefully, I am succeeding a little bit on this one.
5. There is a lot more for me to learn and I can ask questions and actually get answers from the Community.
6. The Community of Blogging, it’s great to be a part of a World Wide group of interesting and helpful people.
Back to the Future… That’s when I decided to try to track down the meme to the beginning. I think I was lucky that it was only a couple of weeks out or I would have never found the person who originated the whole thing.
So, to pass it on… Why Do You Blog?… Darren… Aaron… Pam… Duncan… Martin.
