Check out the new layout of the Footer. I spent a lot of hours fiddling and faddling trying to get it the way I want it to look and work as an extention to the sidebar.
Let me know if you think it works as I intended.
It was actually pretty complicated (at least for me), and I probably wouldn’t have attemped it if I knew how long it would take.
If you would like to know what I did, email me and I’ll tell you the secret. (I may even write a post if enough people are interested.)

I LOVE the footer!! Your sidebar is too wide for 1024 wide screens, though…so I had to widen my view. I have my 19″ LCDs at 1280×1024 and put my windows up in a cascade, so I have the ability to widen it…just a thought.
Great updates, Joe.
Hey Jesse,

Thanks, I have thought about changing the footer for a while, I finally got around to it.
My screen is set for 1280x also, so it all fits fine on my 17.5″ screen.
Besides, I have No idea how to change the layout to fit smaller screens?!?

Hey Joe – the only real way to change your layout width is to edit the CSS file for the container and div widths.
However this theme (if I remember correctly) comes fluid width out of the box, so it should be displaying properly for anyone. (FWIW – I’m at 1152 and have no issues – I also used the browser window resizer (FireFox) and saw no issues at 800×600 either.)
I think the footer thing is good, but now it seems like your sidebar’s too long (even though you shortened it!). I would’ve never thought to check out your footer had you not said anything, you know? It’s the big gap of space here underneath the comment form – I’m sure that in longer posts, it won’t be so strange – but for right now, there’s really nothing directing me to the footer itself.
Hey Lara,
The theme is supposed to be fluid, and I checked it on my other PC (800x) it looked fine to me also.
I know about the sidebar, that’s one reason I put lesser used links etc in the footer.
If you land on the main page, the footer is right there for easy access, but when you land on a individual post, there seems to be the big gap caused by the sidebar.
(if I only had more comments, the gap would close
)
