There are many different schools of thought on linking. I’m just going to give a very short list of Why and How to link.
This is mostly because I have been having problems with my DSL Internet Connection, and I wanted to get something in the Blogging Tips series today (no, it wasn’t preposted). I think this is an important Tip and wanted to give you some ideas on the subject.

The Why…Â
Helps build SEO by interlinking.
Builds Community.

The How…Â
Link to your favorites in the sidebar (BlogRoll)
Use your link in comments if a space is provided, it will lead back to your blog.
Use Trackbacks same as a link that shows in comments to a particular post.
When you refer to another article on someone elses Blog (or your own)
Join in Carnivals, there is a link to your article.
Guest write on another site, they always include at least one link back to you.
