It seems to me that instead of giving answers and tips about Working at Home, I end up Asking Questions when I run into a brick wall. This is another of those times.
Even though I continually investigate and research topics related to Home Business Entrepreneurship, I sometimes come up empty.
I don’t want to write anything about The Blog Herald being sold AGAIN. This time the Buyer is a Secret, and so is the selling price. So why give them free press and links.
Even the Google Alerts that I get daily are just the same things over and over. I have written so much on most of the subjects I feel like it’s Groundhog Day all over again.
Â
So, I will ask you all to contribute a little to the content of the Blog. Yeah, I know most of you have contributed something in one way or another, but I need New Subject Matter.
Ask any Question you need an answer to about Working at Home, Internet or not, and I Will Get an Answer for you and Post about it here.

Hey Joe,
The ink’s not even dry on your post and here’s a comment already. Kinda looks like I’ve been watching my reader all day.
Sorry, I have no concrete questions right now. Unless you’d like to write a post explaining zip. files and why some of us are zipaphobic. Give me a snake, I’ll pet your spider, the mouse can eat what’s leftover from my plate. I don’t like zip.files.
Carolyn
Hey Carolyn,
What’s not to like about .zip files, they are just a compression of a bunch of files for easy download/upload.
No hidden snakes or spiders or mice. Just a nice easy faster way of transporting files.
As long as you trust the source, you shouldn’t have any problems with a good program like WinZip.
Joe
7 zip is even better, and it’s free. You can get it at http://www.7-zip.org/ .
Joe, I don’t know why, but I always have a hard time with .zip files. It was one of those self-taught things and maybe I was out sick that day
Everything’s good now; the site’s back up and the comment section should work properly.
Rick, thanks for the 7-zip tip.
Carolyn
Carolyn,
See, I told you I’d get the answers. All I had to do was Invite Rick.
Thanks for the link Rick, I may just try that out too, although I have been using WinZip (trial version) for over a year. :-0
Joe
Yep and it’s in my bookmarks, too.
Ok. That question is spent. Time for another. If you want to be a pen for hire, how do you think you’d effectively get clients?

Carolyn,
For real, get a lot of your own published articles under your belt. Participate in Related Carnivals, send articles to some Article submission sites and above all Continue writing on your blog and good things will happen.
Until then, I honestly would suggest trying either ProBlogger Job Board or BloggerJobs (Neither are affiliates) in the sidebar. There are a lot of opportunities for writers there.
The main thing is keep writing. As the saying goes, “Build it and they will come”.
Joe
Joe,
Your answer is a perfect foundation for a post. You wanted questions . . . .
Actually, your ideas are sound ones. I’m debating what I want to submit here for Friday’s Carnival. Speaking of which, did you know I’m having one Sunday?
No more questions. Let someone else have a turn.
Carolyn,
Yeah, I only wrote 4 or 5 posts about it, usually in something related to writers block.
As far as submitting to my Carnival, you not only get a post, but a little extra exposure. “It couldn’t huiit”.

Hey Joe – here’s a few ideas for a “Work at Home” site like yours… I wouldn’t call them MY questions, but maybe some venues you could explore some more:
- REAL work at home jobs. You know, the flexible ones, the ones that don’t sound too good to be true (and not just blogging).
- Setting up a home office for productivity and focus.
- Time management for WAHers. Dividing family and work, and keeping a balance.
- How to stop playing computer games and get some *&!# work done.
Just some ideas…
Hope they inspire you some!
Hey Lara,
Those are some good suggestions. I’ve touched them all before, but maybe it’s time to revisit them.
I should take my own advice and wade through my Archives to revise some of the oldies.
