Welcome. I agree wholeheartedly. The only way to really be consistant is to be yourself in your writing.
If people can see that in what you write, they will return because they know they can trust what you say.

When I first started ( which wasn’t very long ago) my creative juices were just not flowing unless I wrote about what I do in my everyday life. So I firmly believe that if you write about something, not only do you have to be passionate about it, but you also have to live it- or else it is not believable:)
