Unfortunately, that is all of the information I have about Ms. Scott.

This may be way off topic about working at home, but it’s ok. I came across a site today that I think is one of the Better Examples of Blogging. 2,996: A Tribute to the Victims of 9/11. When I saw the site and read what it was about, it took less time for me to sign up than to type this sentence. I’ll explain why, for me that day hit home.

On Tuesday September 11, 2001, I was doing tree work as usual. We were in the back yard of a property removing some small trees and dragging them to the front of the house to the chipper. On the roof of the house were some contractors fixing the downspouts and doing repairs to the roof. They yelled down, that a plane hit some building in New York.

We continued working as did the others until we noticed Military Jets zooming overhead. We all started commenting on what type of jets they were and joking if they were going to NYC. Shortly thereafter, I had to move the chopper truck so that the contractors could move some equipment around.

The radio was on in the truck and every program was interrupted by the news that the World Trade Center had been hit. That immediately started me thinking of a week back in September of 1985 when I had meetings with people from Albany, in the South Tower on the 103rd Floor. Through that week I got to know some people that worked in the building for the New York State Government.

I remembered, and still do, the names and faces of all of them. I never had the guts to look up anyone I had gotten to know in that short time to see if they were victims. I’m sure most have moved on to higher positions and got transferred to Albany. At least that’s what I tell myself.

I don’t know how to end this story, guess because it isn’t over yet. I do know that I will remember that week back in 1985 with a different perspective. The perspective of 9/11/2001.
