Easton Ellsworth of Business BlogWire started a thing called Blog-Tipping a couple of months ago. On the first of each month, we should pick three Bloggers we read and give them three compliments and a helpful tip. Since I think it is such a great idea, I thought I would try my hand at it another time (This is becoming a good habit).

So, for my Third Blog-Tipping Event:

Technosailor… Aaron Brazell

1.  Aaron is one of the formost authorities on working with WordPress that I have come across and he does pass along new ideas and information to old and new WP users alike.

2.   The New Design and Arcitecture at Technosailor is somthing that hasn’t been tried before and I think it works Great.  Easy to Navigate and Looks Good too.

3.  Aaron gave me my First Guest Writing try (I can’t find the link).  When you give an unknown a shot, I think it says a lot about a man and his professionalisim.

Tip:  Don’t get too busy to remember to have fun Blogging.

IGotNewsForYou… Benjamin Yoskovitz

1.  Your sense of humor comes to the forefront on every post.  No matter what the jubject, you find a way to make us smile.

2.  I like the way you run contests for you readers.  You make a competition for just about any topic, and use your product as both part of the contest and the prize.  Very creative.

3.  You can take an off-hand comment and turn into something for the community to enjoy and expand it into something useful.  You’re always thinking…

Tip:  Don’t lose Basil to the World. (or to his own Blog).

SympileByte… DavidC

1.  You provide information that is always useful and easy to understand.  When you review a program, you tell exactly how to use it step by step.

2.  Your new site (I remember the old one) is clean and refreshing to look at, you must have spent a lot of time on the design.

3.  I like the way you are active in you comments, and if someone needs additional information, you provide it without a second thought.

Tip:  Give us More, please… I know the reviews take time, but I’m an information junkie.

I think this is a worthwhile project and hope you try your hand at Tipping a Blog(ger) next month. My plan is to continue this project monthly because I like the whole idea of being helpful to other Bloggers and sharing the Link Leak Virus in this way as well.

Have you Tipped a Blog lately? Who was it? How did it make you feel?

By the Way, Chris Cree… You got Blog-Tipped Last Month, but you still get a nod and a link to CREEations.

    1. Great stuff. This time around I actually knew two of the three victims (beneficiaries), but the third, Symple Byte, is new to me so it’s fun to discover it this way.

Good job sneaking up and blogtipping these folks! I’ll add this to my project post later today.

    2. Hey Easton,

That’s the fun part, finding something new that you wouldn’t have really been looking for.

Even the one’s we know deserve a little link love once in a while too. ;-)

    3. Foremost? While I appreciate the vote of confidence, I am but a peon. :)

    4. Hey Aaron,

I mean what I say, you know more than I’ll ever know about WP and Blogging.

Thanks for all the info and good posts you provide.

    5. Thanks for tipping me Joe. It’s giving me warm fuzzies on the inside.

Basil won’t get lost to the world or his own blog, I’ll keep him working hard, trust me.

    6. Hey Ben,

You deserve a good tip for all the community work you have done. (Basil told me you only served a month community service for that one indiscression). :-0

Keep it going, and see you tonight at Liz\’s house.

    7. Hey Joe

I haven’t been by for awhile, but I always watch your posts via my RSS feeds. Thanks for the mention and the kind words, I really appreciate that. And yes, I know I don’t post enough. It’s a balance thing - work, family, blogging (which I consider fun, but don’t give myself enough time for). I am going to try to up the frequency, if the creek don’t rise…

Thanks again, your site is looking great. I know it’s been a little bumpy changing over to your own domain, but it will be worth it in the long run. Keep up the good work!

    8. Hey Joe — I’m all about the community. As long as it’s entirely centered around me of course…err…I mean Basil. That donkey has an ego the size of Everest. You’ll see what I mean when he visits.

And please, keep that indiscretion hush hush. I thought I already paid you for those photos? Geez… *grin*

    9. Hey DavidC,

I don’t get to see you that much these days, I hope the busy is a good busy.

It’s good to know you’re still around, I need some of the tips you write about.

The new domain seems to be working out well for me, I hope you’re right about it being worth it. Things are getting better.

      Thanks,

      Joe

    10. Hey Ben,

Basil told me to mention the pictures and post them, but I thought that would be too much.

I’ll hide them before he gets here.

    11. I’m excited to get Basil - should be just a few days now. Keeping him hydrated in the Arizona sun should be a challenge, though!

    12. Hey Easton,

I think it’s exciting having such a celebrity on the way. The anticipation just builds and builds.

I’m going to have to find some patience, I have a little while yet before Basil gets to Philly.

      Joe

    13. Calling Basil a celebrity is only going to go to his head. You watch, he’s going to call me soon asking for a raise.

But I do appreciate the support guys!

    14. Ben,

Maybe Chris will be able to calm him down a bit. I know Chris won’t take him to any bars or wild parties. We’ll find out I guess.
