Ok, I know it wasn’t much of a contest.  Chris Cree is the only one who answered at all, and he looked at the answers first.  But, I will Honor my Word and give Chris at least one Link per Day for the next 7 Days. (Yesterday’s link doesn’t count).

The answers and explainations of why I made the changes are:

~~ I added Recent Comments to the sidebar.  I think showing a preview of the conversation that is occuring could stimulate others to join in.  I have seen this on other Blogs I visited and could see what was happening without having to actually click “comments” first.

~~ I added a Chat Room to the Contact Form.  Not too much has happened there yet, but I haven’t promoted the Chat Option at all.  I have yet to make a final decision on making it more prominant or deleting it.

~~ I have started using lower case lettering on all titles in the sidebar.  This is more a personal preference than anything else, but I think it seems to work fairly well.

~~ I shortened the Main Page to 3 Posts Presented.  When I was using Blogger I ran into the problem of not being able to use a Next Page Feature.  Now that the option is available with WordPress, I think it helps in keeping the Presentation less cluttered.

Since I made those changes I also added the:

~~ Subscribe by E-mail link at the top of the sidebar and got one subscription on the First Day. There are some people that feel more comfortable getting updates by E-mail rather than RSS.

~~ Follow Comments on a Post link after each post.  When I comment on other Blogs, sometimes I like to follow-up on the conversation. Not everyone offers this service and I think this Plug-in provides an easy way to offer my commenters follow-up on their conversations.

~~ A Favicon to the Address Bar.  This is purly for my Ego, but I like it.

If you would like links to any of the Plug-ins mentioned, please visit Joe’s Freeware Finds (one of my other Blogs).  There are links to a lot of different Downloads, all by the Original Author.

    1. Ya know, maybe it’s not so much that I was cheating as that I am pretty lazy. Why go huntin’ around and doing all that figuring and remembering when the answer’s staring you right in the face?

Seems like a cheesy way to win that many links, though. You know, yesterday’s link was worth more to me than a week’s worth of cheesy ones. I’d be quite happy to call it even!

    2. Chris,

It’s up to you, but you will have one tomorrow at the bottom of the Blog-Tipping Post. Just as a nod.

Besides, it is already pre-posted. ;-)

I won’t forget who won. I didn’t consider that cheating anyway, I would have done it too. :-0
