Working at Home on the Internet

Helping You Run an Internet Home Business

Re-Organizing All My Pages

In the transition from having 5 Blogs on Blogger.com, (with 3 having been transferred to WordPress.com as an experiment to test the waters) and 2 Websites on Freespaces.com to my Domain, there doesn’t seem to be enough hours in a day. Needless to say, I have been a very busy little beaver.

Once I made the decision to get my Domain, I neglected to consider how well some of the other sites would or wouldn’t fit with the Name of the Domain. Since this Blog is Working at Home on the Internet, it fits exactly with the domain workingathomeinternet.com, That was the Main Reason for picking it. This is My Main Blog.

The Joe’s Freeware Finds Blog seems to fit inasmuch as it is a compilation of Freeware, Software and Plug-ins etc that I have found while trying to start and run a Work at Home Business.  So, it gets the Sub-Domain of http://joesfinds.workingathomeinternet.com I think it fits well enough.

The World Politics and the Internet Blog is pushing it a little, but since I started it so as not to get all my political posts about Net Neutrality, Google vs Government etc. mixed in with the Working at Home Blog, I thought http://worldpolitics.workingathomeinternet.com could work.

I think the Working at Home on the Internet Webpage and the WAH Archive Blog should fit pretty well in the new atmosphere of the Domain. The biggest obsticle I am running into with these is trying to figure out HOW to get them on the server.  This may take some time to work out, but I am sure that I can eventually succeed.

I am pretty sure the Short Stories Seeping from Somewhere Blog would be too much of a stretch to fit with the whole theme of the working at home topic. I will probably just leave it on Blogger since it is low on the priority list of things I write often. This is more of a personal release through writing blog than any kind of income generator.

Lastly is the Webpage I pay the least attention to. The MCBS Consulting Webpage was my very first attempt at trying to start a Work at Home Business on the Internet. I originally published it on the AOL webpage generator. I had some feable attempts at advertising on it with what was available on AOL at the time (it made money for AOL). I think I really keep it around just as a reminder of where this all started.

The reason I tell you all that I am involved with at present, is to let you know that ANY Work at Home Business takes a lot of hard work. You must make a game plan and be able to adjust as needed. Plan ahead, if possible get your own Domain, and make sure to think of possible future changes you may encounter.

Change is never easy, but thinking (and planning) ahead will make any transition less stressful.
