Spam E-Mail Through Contact Link

  I have gotten an extremely large amount of Spam E-Mail ever since I put the Contact Me Link in the Sidebar.  I did put a spam filter on BlueHost that seems to be largely ineffective.  They all seem to be coming from some part of the world that doesn’t use English (or any European Language) as a Primary Language.

I really need (in my opinion) to have some point of Contact with the Community other than comments.  But, as I have said in many, many posts previously, I HATE SPAM.

What I have done is make the Contact Link that I had previously, into a referral to my Contact Page.  There are a few options to contact me through the page, and hopefully, this will be a bit of a deterrant to the Spammers.

The last thing I want to do is delete the Contact Link.  I also don’t want to have to resort to the old me(at)wherever(dot)com thing.  I think that demeans the whole concept of trying to be an Open Community.

Let’s see if this new approach works… I sure hope so.  Any other suggestions would be very much appreciated.
