Hey Chris,
I looked at my feed on feedburner and they all show the new posts. So far so good, but I’m expecting to find things here and there that either don’t go to the right places or show the wrong url. Hasn’t happened yet, but I’m sure I will have to go through everything one by one to make sure everything is ok.
We shall see.
I do like it here already. I just have to remember POST Then Tweak…

I had another issue with Bloglines. For some reason the title of my feed still pointed to my old Blogspot location after I switched everything correctly in Feedburner even though the individual post titles pointed to the new site. I checked, double checked, and tripple-double checked to be sure that all my Feedburner stuff actually pointed to my new location.

Finally I sent an email to support at Bloglines and asked them if they could change anything on their end. They just sent me a nice reply saying they fixed it for me. I tried it again and the displayed feed title now points to my new site in Bloglines. They saved a customer with their quick response (less than a day). I was contemplating changing.

I think you will find there are gobs of these little things that have to be switched around. The good news is that you don’t have to do it all at once. Sure there will be a push at first that will catch the bulk of it. For me it lasted about a week.

But I only had about 125 or so posts to tweak. You may have a bit more than that so it might take you a bit longer.

I still think you will find it worth it in the end.

Hey Chris,

I just started pinging some of the services, changed my FeedBurner feed to the new address and even added it to Technorati (not sure how that’s going to work using the same name). It sure is an ordeal, but I already think it was worth the effort.

I’ve been working on some tweaks, not sure if you noticed, but I changed the borders and the Head (BG color, Italicised the title, changed the color of the type).

Now, I want to change the size of the post title and put a space between the category/date/author field and the text of the post.

Lots of work left to do, BUT I AM HAVING FUN. It’s almost like when I bought my first house…

I know you weren’t ignoring me, but I was afraid you didn’t get any of my new posts, so I spent a good part of the day making sure all my feeds were getting fed.

Geeze Luiz, Joe!

I’m sure not ignoring you. For some reason Bloglines hasn’t been showing any of your posts as new in my account. I figured you took some time off or something.

Congratulations on the move. It looks awesome!

Sure there will be some bumps. Maybe even some temporary loss of SEO and all that. And yes, there is a lot to be done for those of us perfectionist types. But I’m sure you will be glad you made the switch.

I wonder how many others have been posting but not showing up in my Bloglines…
