Akismet has helped us crack down hard on it, but I don't know if we'll ever find a tool that is 100 percent effective. I've noticed some buggy things happen to my Technorati inbound links lately - like links written in Chinese that don't really link to my site - and I think it's just due to T'rati's growing pains.
